Located across the Charles River from Boston, this urban little town thrives with nightlife opportunities, easily accessible bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. There’s no shortage of health, fitness, or outdoor activities either, and the same can be said for job access. 

About 10% of the people that move into Cambridge every year are millennials. And almost 75% of the people living here are between the ages of 25 and 34. For the next city on our list of the best places to move to after college in Massachusetts, we don’t have to travel far from the last one. Boston, the state capital, can also be considered a young city. More than a quarter of its residents are in the age range of 20 to 29. 

Now, the number of universities in close proximity certainly is one of the reasons for this. But on the other hand, companies are coming here because of the highly educated population. Qualified employees aren’t an easy thing to find, so serious businesses will come to them. 

However, before you start looking for moving assistance with other related activities, there’s one more thing to consider. When it comes to renting, the situation isn’t that good. A one-bedroom apartment in a nice part of town will set you back for almost $2,000. Luckily, statistics show that millennials earn more after relocating here so everything evens out quite nicely.

Beverly

Beverly is a city of about 40,000 residents located on the North Shore of Massachusetts. If you’re a music fan and having access to shows and concerts at all times is important for you, feel free to bump Beverly a few places higher on your priority list.

The town is home to the Larcom Theatre that is constantly putting on the new music and performing arts acts. Also, there’s The Cabot in which you can catch a concert or a movie. Finding what to do for date nights will never be a problem again. You may be moving in with your partner much sooner than you thought the case will be.

Woburn

We’re going back south just a little bit for the next representative of the best cities in Massachusetts to relocate to after college. Located 10 miles away from Boston, Woburn is a beautiful place. It offers premium life quality of the cities like Newton and Melrose, but for the fraction of the price. 

However, you should know that you won’t be the only one moving here. It seems that many people have discovered the economical advantages of Woburn as its population has been growing at amazing speeds. So, if this is a place of your dreams, we’d suggest you head to your chosen city or town as soon as possible. As there could be a shortage of housing if the trend continues.

The crime rate here is, expectedly, very low and the unemployment rate is just 3.7%. Therefore, securing a job here surely won’t represent a problem.

Lexington

If you’re the lover of history, you must have heard about this town. In 2017 it was named the best place to live in Mass, but that’s not why it’s special. The first shorts of the American Revolutionary War were fired right here, so it’s quite an important location.

Lexington has a population of about 33,000 and it can be considered a diverse and prosperous town. It is home to one of the best school districts in the state. Therefore, starting a family here is a very good idea. 

Despite its’ size, the town has a vibrant exciting entertainment scene and many restaurants and coffee shops to visit. There are also many interesting things to do outdoors.  However, living here is not cheap, so if you’re moving here alone, finding a roommate after college may be a good idea.
